THE SHOW
The show was formed by two DJ’s named DJ DC and DJ Twin in the fall of 2008. This show plays the latest R&B and Hip Hop music and also features special guests and special events from time to time. This year we’re trying to expand and have events and shows outside the studio and also to expand outside the tri-state area in Huntington, WV. Check out our individual biographies below this box!
THE WEBSITE
On the website Menu, there are different sections to click on. About is the current section you are in, giving you information about Word on the Street. Events gives you all the latest events scheduled to happen on the show. News gives you the latest news from around the world and the latest from DJ DC and Twin. Photos contains pictures from the Radio show and other events. Videos contains video recordings from the show and from other events. Song Request is basically for anyone that has a song they want to request. Forum is for members to start chats with other members that listen to and enjoy the show. FeedBack is for anyone that has any questions, a topic they would like discussed on the show, or shoutouts they want the DJ’s to do.
Other features located on the site are available as well! Connect is a section of our other links to reach us at (such as MySpace, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube) and will feature a "Listen Live" button soon. Weekly Top 10 is where we post the top ten countdown of the latest songs on the show. The Latest is where the weekly news and events are posted.
We're also working on having a streaming live section for people outside the area. Additionally, we are going to be posting recordings from every show in case people are unable tune in on Friday nights.
We want everyone to enjoy the Word on the Street experience because this is the people's show.

Jason Grady & John Lewis
Jason ”DJ TWIN" Grady was born on March 7th in New York City. At age 8 he moved to Alexandria, VA and was raised there for most of his childhood.
Grady then went on to attend T.C. Williams high school, which was the school from the movie “Remember the Titans." Grady then went on to attend Marshall University, majoring in Sports Management and minoring in Entrepreneurship.
Grady’s First radio appearance was on “On the Block with DJ TC and the Crew” radio show in the fall of 2007. Grady then left that show and joined with DJ DC to form the show “The Word on the Street” in fall of 2008.
Grady’s favorite hobbies are playing and watching different sports, listening to music, hanging out with friends, and traveling. Grady is looking forward to a huge success for The Word on the Street Radio Show.
John Lewis (DJ DC) was born in Washington D.C. on Sept. 4, 1989 and grew up with his grandmother. He still had his parents as well, but usually just saw them briefly throughout the week and stayed with them on the weekends.
He attended two different elementary schools, one private and one public. Later, he attended two different highschools as well, one charter and one public. Let’s just say that he had the experience of moving from school to school.
When his grandmother passed, John moved back home with his parents and started to really think about his career as he got into his senior year of Highschool. He had an interest in Journalism and could always vision himself working on a story, reporting the news, or just seeing himself in the field.
When he was accepted to Marshall University, he got himself into DJing for a MU Radio Station. Tt wasn’t broadcasting, but it was something close to his career so he could get practice on air. In September 2007, he made his first radio appearance on his show, THE MAINEVENT, with his co-host Kenny Cox. THE MAINEVENT lasted for 4 months and had plenty of success. He then went on to another show called the MAINEVENT ON THE BLOCK, in which he added his show name with his friend T.C.
Then after being on two shows, he joined with DJ TWIN to create THE WORD ON THE STREET, which has been very successful. It has been broadcasting for a year now, and has been the longest show DJ DC has ever stayed with. John's favorite hobbies are football, basketball, wrestling, and boxing.
